SUPPLIES NEEDED

TUBE OF CHOICE: I used the awesome artwork of
Elias Chatzoudis.
This tube came with a Close Up.
You must have a license to use his art.
You can find Elias's art and get your license HERE.

SCRAPKIT:  BYOK: THE BIG CHILL @ Pimp My Tags w/ Scraps
This is a bundle put together by:
Designs by Sarah
Pimp'd Designz
PolkaDot Scraps
TK Dezigns
You can find it HERE.

FONT OF CHOICE: I used two different fonts:
Name: Excellentia in excelsis
Take a: Elastic Wrath

I used Photoshop for this tut.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Because there are 4 different designers
I will refer to the elements like this:
sb-*** = Designs by Sarah
pd-*** = Pimp'd Designz
PDS-*** = PolkaDot Scraps
tk-*** = TK Dezigns

Let's have some fun!
Open PDS-template.
Hide the credit layer.

Go up to Image in your toolbar.
Click Canvas Size.
Increase the height to 550 pixels.

Click Ok.

Now we have a little more room to play
without effecting the template.

Open PDS-print.
Duplicate this layer.
Place these behind all layers of the template to your liking.

We'll be working our way from the bottom layers
of the template up.

Move the bottom rectangle down in your Layer Palette.
Place this directly above the top rectangle.
Highlight bottom rectangle layer.
Right click in the Layer Palette.
Click Merge Down.

Open PDS-paper4
Place this behind merged layers.
*Highlight your merged rectangle layer.
Grab your Magic Wand.
Hold the Shift key down on your keyboard
and click inside each rectangle.
Let go of the Shift key.
Highlight your paper4 layer.
Go to Select in the tool bar.
Click Inverse.
Hit the Delete key on your keyboard.
Go back to Select.
Click Deselect.
Move paper4 layer on top of merged rectangle layer.*

Move your right square layer directly above
your left square layer.
Merge these layers together like you just did
with the rectangles.
Open sb-pp3.
Place this behind the merged squares.
Repeat the steps above marked *
for the merged squares & pp3 layers.

Move the top circle layer directly above
your bottom circle layer.
Merge the circle layers.
Open sb-pp2.
Place this behind the merged circle layer.
Repeat the steps marked *
for the merged circle & pp2 layers.

Open tk-twisty pink.
Resize to 50%.
Duplicate this layer.
Flip it Horizontally.
Use my tag as a guide for placement of elements.

Open tk-snowflakepaper1.
Place this behind the oval layer.
Repeat steps marked *
for the oval and snowflakepaper1 layers.
You don't need to hold down the Shift key.
That is only for when you are clicking
more than one thing on a layer.

Hide the tiny circle layer.

Open pd-ice.
Place in center of oval.

Hide the dotted lines layer.

Open pd-pp 07.
Resize to 75%
Place behind the long rectangle layer.
Repeat the steps marked *
for the long rectangle & pp 07 layers.

Open your tube and place to your liking.

I used these elements:
pd-igloo, resize to 50%
tk-polar bear, resize to 30%
tk-penguin, resize to 35%

For the snow flakes:
I used the following flakes,
duplicated them and resized them.
Play around with them
and do as you like.
tk-snowflake blue, resize to 15%
PDS-snowflake1, resize to 20%
PDS-snowflake3, resize to 20%
pd-snowflake 01, resize to 15%
sb-snowflake2, resize to 20%

I needed to cover the tubes breasts
so I used pd-stars 01.
Resize to 25%
Rotate to your liking.

Now we'll use sb-alpha 1 to spell out “pill”.
Open these letters:
P, I, L
Resize to 50%
Duplicate the letter L.
Place to your liking.
You can use my tag as a guide for placement.

I used PDS-icealpha for the word “chill”.
Open these letters:
C, H, I, L
Duplicate the letter L.
I also used different sizes for these letters:
C – resize to 30%
H – resize to 25%
I – resize to 30%
L – resize to 30%
L – resize to 25%

Place a drop shadow on all layers except:
snowflake layers
paper layers
long rectangle
oval
merged layers
print

Resize the tag to your liking.

Make a new layer.
Type the words “take a”
I used color d7a6ad.
Stroke, Outside, 2, color fee3f5.
I also used a drop shadow.

Type your name.
I used the same color
and text effects.

MOST IMPORTANT!!
You must now do this:
Put the artist's name, website, and your license number
of the tube you used on the siggy!!
Add your name (ie: Designed by Your Name) behind this info.
Make sure this info is legible and clearly seen.

Save as PSD to maintain layers.
Then save as PNG, remembering to use a number behind your sig title.
YOU'RE DONE!!
I hope you had fun with this tut!
HUGS!♥

♥Tribute to Rieka♥

To honor Rieka and all she has blessed me with, I will be leaving all my tuts that I have written with her kits on my blog. They are not coming down. Even though her kits are no longer available, the tuts I wrote using them are my tribute to her. Hopefully, they will inspire you the way Rieka inspired me. Love You, Rieka! You'll be forever in my heart.♥

Savage
Hi Ya'll! I'm Savage and I'd like to welcome you to Redneck Tuts. These are not your ordinary tuts, as they are geared toward those of us that don't have "working knowledge" of Photoshop or PSP. My tuts are all done in PS. They are designed to show you different techniques that you may not know. I hope you learn something that you can use in your creations in the future. Please, just have fun and put your own spin on these tuts. Be original and shine! Love Ya! ♥
