SUPPLIES NEEDED

TUBE OF CHOICE: I used the beautiful artwork of
Alex Prihodko.
This tube is called
Evening by the Fireplace.
You must have a license to use this art.
You can find this art and get your license HERE.

SCRAPKIT: Simply Elegant by Mellie Beans.
You can find it HERE.

FONT OF CHOICE: I used Bickhem Script Two.

I used Photoshop for this tut.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I didn't plan on writing a tut for this.
I was just playing around in PS,
but when I was done playing
and saw the finished thing...
Well, I couldn't help myself.
I had to write a tut. LOL!
So when you see “Reduce Size”
You will just need to play around a bit.
Normally, I resize elements to 35 or 25%,
sometimes I resize to 50%.
Have fun and Enjoy!

Open a canvas 1920 wide x 1200 high pixels.
Transparent background.

Open pp11.
Duplicate this layer two times.
Place layers next to each other
with sides touching and place at top of wallpaper.
In the Layer Palette,
Right click on the top pp11 layer.
Click Merge Visible.
Position this layer on your canvas
to your liking.
Some of it will be hanging off the sides of your canvas.
That's fine and it won't show in your finished wallpaper.
Now duplicate this layer and place it at the bottom
of your canvas so the top edge of it is touching
the bottom edge of the first pp11 layer.
When you have it the way you like,
Right click this layer in the Layer Palette
then click Merge Down.
You now have your background.

Please use any elements you like.
This wallpaper is only an example of what you can do.

I used these elements:
e14, I duplicated this once
e30
e44, I used this one six times.
Just duplicate the layer,
Reduce the size on a couple layers
and place randomly on your canvas.
e15, I duplicated this once.
e17, duplicate once and reduce second layer in size.
e46
e9, I used this element for the center of the canvas.
I also duplicated it twice, reducing the size
and using it for accents along the bottom of the canvas.
e12, I used this one four times,
Reducing only one layer.
e3
e13
e7, duplicate this layer and flip Horizontally.

Open your tube.
Place your tube below e13 layer.
Position as you like.
Duplicate the tube layer.

Highlight the second tube layer.
Flip it Horizontally.
Place this in the center of the canvas
so her face in centered inside the flower.
Grab a soft edged eraser.
Erase her body leaving only her face and arms visible.
In the Layer Palette,
Go to the upper right corner to Opacity.
Set that to 50%.

Place a drop shadow on all your layers.
I used this drop shadow for most of the layers:

Make a new layer.
We are going to put your name on it now
and give your text a slight curve.
Type your name on the wallpaper.
Look at the top tool bar.
Find the little square with T in it.
It should be right about in the center of the toolbar.
It will have a curved arrow under the letter T.
Click that.
A new window will pop up.
In the box next to the word Style,
you will see the word None.
Click the arrow in that box.
Now Click Flag.
Click the little dot by the word Horizontal.
Where it says Bend,
Type in 12.
Leave Horizontal and Vertical Distortion at zero.
Click OK.

Now for the text effects:
I used white for the lettering.
Stroke: 3, Outside, color: 6d6c6c

Bevel & Emboss

Outer Glow:

Drop Shadow:

MOST IMPORTANT!!
You must now do this:
Put the artist's name, website, and your license number
of the tube you used on the wallpaper!!
Add your name (ie: Designed by Your Name) behind this info.
Make sure this info is legible and clearly seen.

Save as PNG.
YOU'RE DONE!!
(If you want to maintain your layers
Always Save as PSD first.
Then you can save it as a PNG.)

I hope you had fun with this tut
and that you can use the different techniques
in other things you create!
HUGS!

*This tut was created by me, Redneck Tuts by Savage.

♥Tribute to Rieka♥

To honor Rieka and all she has blessed me with, I will be leaving all my tuts that I have written with her kits on my blog. They are not coming down. Even though her kits are no longer available, the tuts I wrote using them are my tribute to her. Hopefully, they will inspire you the way Rieka inspired me. Love You, Rieka! You'll be forever in my heart.♥

Savage
Hi Ya'll! I'm Savage and I'd like to welcome you to Redneck Tuts. These are not your ordinary tuts, as they are geared toward those of us that don't have "working knowledge" of Photoshop or PSP. My tuts are all done in PS. They are designed to show you different techniques that you may not know. I hope you learn something that you can use in your creations in the future. Please, just have fun and put your own spin on these tuts. Be original and shine! Love Ya! ♥
