TUBE OF CHOICE: I used the awesome artwork of Ismael Rac.
The tube I used came with a Close Up.
You must have a license to use this art.
I purchased this tube through Artistic Minds Inc.
They are no longer open for business.
Ismael's art and his license are now found HERE.

SCRAPKIT:  Miss Independent Collab.
This is 4 PTU kits combined in one bundle.
Designers are:
Pimp'd Designz
PolkaDot Scraps
Designs by Sarah
TammyKat Designs
You can find it HERE.

FONT OF CHOICE: I used Always Black.

I used Photoshop for this tut.
Because we're using 4 different kits,
I will refer to the elements like this:
pd-*** = Pimp'd Designz kit
PDS-*** = PolkaDot Scraps kit
sb-*** = Designs by Sarah kit
tk-*** = TK Dezigns kit

Let's have some fun!
Open a new canvas, 700x700.
Transparent background.
Use my taggie as a guide for placement of elements.

Open PSD-frame 1.
Place in upper left of canvas.
Open sb-frame 3.
Place off center toward right of canvas.

Open pd-frame 3.
Rotate this and place in center.
Open tk-wordartpaper.
Highlight pd-frame 3 layer.
Grab your magic wand.
Click on pd-frame 3.
Highlight tk-wordartpaper layer.
Go to Select in your toolbar.
Click Inverse.
Hit the Delete key on your keyboard.
Go back to Select.
Click Deselect.
With paper layer still highlighted
Right click in the Layer Pallete.
Click Merge Down.
Now your frame is decorated.

Open tk-starframes blue.
Place in center of canvas.
Go to Filter in your toolbar.
Select Noise.
In the drop down menu
Click Add Noise.
Use these settings:

Click Ok.

Now we'll do some work behind the frames.
Open tk-gradientpaper.
Resize to 80%.
Flip Vertically.
Position behind PSD-frame 1.
Grab an eraser.
Erase tk-gradientpaper showing outside of all frames.
Open sb-stars 1.
Place this on top of paper layer.

Between pd-frame 3 & tk-starframes blue
We will place these elements:
sb-pocket, resize to 50%
pd-print 02
pd-stars 01, resize to 35%
PSD-stars 4, resize to 75%, flip Horizontally

Open your Close Up tube.
Place behind tk-starframes blue.
Position where you like.
Grab an eraser.
Erase any portion of your tube showing outside the frame.
I left her head/hair showing outside the frame.
Open your regular size tube.
Position inside smaller tk-starframes blue.
Highlight tk-starframes blue layer.
Grab your magic wand.
Click inside the smaller star frame.
Highlight your regular sized tube layer.
Go to Select in your toolbar.
Click Inverse.
Hit the Delete key on your keyboard.
Go back to Select.
Click Deselect.

I used these elements on top of starframes:
sb-ribbon 5, resize to 50%
pd-sparkler, resize to 65%
tk-whiteflower, resize to 65%
tk-hat, resize to 65%
PSD-star 1, resize to 80%, flip Horizontally

Place a drop shadow on your layers.
Resize your taggie to your liking.

Make a new layer.
Type your name.
I used color: 313a8f.
Stroke, Outside, 2, color f8f2f2.
I also used Bevel & Emboss.

Use the settings above.
Click Ok.

You must now do this:
Put the artist's name, website, and your license number
of the tube you used on the siggy!!
Add your name (ie: Designed by Your Name) behind this info.
Make sure this info is legible and clearly seen.

Save as PSD to maintain layers.
Then save as PNG, remembering to use a number behind your sig title.
I hope you had fun with this tut!

♥Tribute to Rieka♥

To honor Rieka and all she has blessed me with, I will be leaving all my tuts that I have written with her kits on my blog. They are not coming down. Even though her kits are no longer available, the tuts I wrote using them are my tribute to her. Hopefully, they will inspire you the way Rieka inspired me. Love You, Rieka! You'll be forever in my heart.♥

About Me

My Photo
Hi Ya'll! I'm Savage and I'd like to welcome you to Redneck Tuts. These are not your ordinary tuts, as they are geared toward those of us that don't have "working knowledge" of Photoshop or PSP. My tuts are all done in PS. They are designed to show you different techniques that you may not know. I hope you learn something that you can use in your creations in the future. Please, just have fun and put your own spin on these tuts. Be original and shine! Love Ya! ♥
