TUBE OF CHOICE: I used the fantastic artwork of
Sweet Pinup.
You must have a license to use this art.
You can find this art and get your license HERE.

SCRAPKIT: Mz Kitten by Pimp'd Designz.
You can find it HERE.

FONT OF CHOICE: I used Freebooter Script.

I used Photoshop for this tut.
In this tut we'll be making paw prints appear.
If you don't wish to animate, just skip the steps marked *BLUE*
Use my tag as a guide for placement of elements.

Open a canvas 700x700 pixels.
Flood fill with the color of your choice.

Open glitter splat.
Resize to 25%
Duplicate and flip Horizontally.

Open pp01.
Move to left side of canvas.

Open frame05.
Flip 90 degrees Counter Clockwise (90CCW)

Center pp01 layer inside frame05.
Highlight frame05 layer.
Grab your Magic Wand.
Click inside frame.
Highlight pp01 layer.
Go to Select in your tool bar.
Click Inverse.
Hit the Delete key on your keyboard.
Go back to Select.
Choose Deselect.

Open bow02.
Resize to 50%.
Open ribbon04.
Resize to 35%.
Flip Horizontally.

Open frame03.
Place in lower right corner of canvas.

Open pp04.
Move behind frame03.
Grab a soft edged eraser.
Erase all excess paper
outside frame03.

Open your tube.
Duplicate your tube.
Hide the duplicated layer.
Highlight your first tube layer.
Flip Horizontally.
This layer should be sitting on top of pp04
and under frame03.
Center the tube inside frame03.
Grab a soft edged eraser.
Erase the parts of the tube that are
hanging outside frame03.
Go to the upper left corner of your Layer Palette.
Click the down arrow next to the word Normal.
Choose Luminosity.
Let Opacity set at 100%.
Duplicate this layer.
Go back to the drop down arrow.
Click it.
Choose Soft Light.

Open wa01.
Place a Stroke on this layer.
Outside, 3, color feb9e8.

Open metal flowers.

Open paw print01.
Resize to 35%.
Place a Stroke on this layer.
Outside, 4, Black
Duplicate this layer three times.
Stagger these one above the other
up the right side of frame05.
Use my tag as a guide.
*If you are animating,
hide all paw print layers for now.*

Open xoxo.
Place the same Stoke on this layer
that you used on wa01.

Open bling kitty.
Resize to 50%.

Unhide your duplicated tube layer
and move it on top of everything.
I resized this tube to 35%.
I placed in Outer Glow on this layer.

I placed a drop shadow on these layers:
metal flowers
bling kitty

Resize your taggie to your liking.

Make a new layer.
Type your name on the taggie.
I used color fe87d6.
I also used:
Stroke, Outside, 3, color 9a2d5b
Drop Shadow
Outer Glow
Bevel & Emboss

You must now do this:
Put the artist's name, website, and your license number
of the tube you used on the siggy!!
Add your name (ie: Designed by Your Name) behind this info.
Make sure this info is legible and clearly seen.

If you don't want to animate,
Make sure all your paw prints are showing.
Save as PNG.
(If you want to maintain your layers
Always Save as PSD first.
Then you can save it as a PNG.
When doing both these steps
It is important to change the title of the tag.
When I Save as PSD,
I always name the tag what I want.
Then, when saving as a PNG,
I add the number 1 behind the name of the tag.
Like this:
Purrr, Save as PSD
Purrr1, Save as PNG
Otherwise, your PNG will overwrite your PSD
Merging your tag into one layer only.)

Hide all your paw prints
in the Layer Palette.

Open the Animation Window.
Set the time for .3.
Show all layers in the first frame
except the paw prints.
Click the square button, next to the trash can,
in the animation window.
This will duplicate the first animation frame
making frame 2.
Go over to your Layer Palette.
Unhide the first paw print layer.
Go back to the animation window.
Open a new animation frame (frame 3).
Go to Layer Palette.
Unhide the second paw print layer.
Now back to the animation window again.
Make a fourth animation frame.
In Layer Palette, unhide third paw print.
In animation window, make frame 5.
In Layer Palette, unhide fourth paw print.
Duplicate frame 5 in animation window.
Leave as is.
You should have six frames of animation.

Click Play.
If you like what you see...

Save as PSD. Then Save for Web & Devises.

I hope you had fun with this tut
and that you can use this technique
in other taggies you create!

Any resemblance to any other is purely coincidental.*

♥Tribute to Rieka♥

To honor Rieka and all she has blessed me with, I will be leaving all my tuts that I have written with her kits on my blog. They are not coming down. Even though her kits are no longer available, the tuts I wrote using them are my tribute to her. Hopefully, they will inspire you the way Rieka inspired me. Love You, Rieka! You'll be forever in my heart.♥

About Me

My Photo
Hi Ya'll! I'm Savage and I'd like to welcome you to Redneck Tuts. These are not your ordinary tuts, as they are geared toward those of us that don't have "working knowledge" of Photoshop or PSP. My tuts are all done in PS. They are designed to show you different techniques that you may not know. I hope you learn something that you can use in your creations in the future. Please, just have fun and put your own spin on these tuts. Be original and shine! Love Ya! ♥
