TUBE OF CHOICE: I used the awesome artwork of
Roman Zaric.
This tube came with a Close Up.
You must have a license to use this art.
You can find this tube and get a license HERE.

SCRAPKIT: Glamorized and Glittered
by Brenda's Scrap Design.
You can find it HERE.

MASK: Sav_Mask1_DeMag designed Exclusively for
digi-e-Magazine by Savage SWAK.
It's listed under Savage Freebie Mask & Tag.
You can snag it HERE.

FONT OF CHOICE: I used Baroque Script.
I used Photoshop for this tut.

Let's have some fun!
Open a new canvas, 700x700.
Transparent background.
Use my taggie as a guide for placement of elements.

Open pp5, resize to 60%.
Center on canvas.
Go the your other folder in the kit called:
bsd_Glamorized and Glittered Glitter
Open G01, resize to 60%.
Center on canvas.

Open Sav_Mask1_DeMag.
You'll see 4 layers in Mask1.
Only move the layers called
Mask1a and Mask1b
onto your siggy.
Resize both mask layers to 90%.
Place Mask1a on top of your pp5.
Center on canvas.
Place Mask1b on top of Go1 layer.

*With Mask1a layer highlighted
hold your CTRL key down on your keyboard
and hit your mask icon in the layer palette
at the same time.
You'll see little marching ants now.
Highlight your paper layer.
Click the mask button
(this is a square with a circle in it)
at the bottom of the layer palette.
*You should have two pictures in your paper layer now.
One of your paper and one of the mask.*
Hide your mask layer.
Highlight pp5 layer.
Right click in the layer palette.
Hit Convert to Smart Object.
Right click again.
Click Rasterize Layer.
Now you can delete the gray mask layer.*

Repeat the steps marked * above for Mask1b,
Using it with your G01 layer.
With G01 completed mask layer highlighted,
Go to your tool bar on top.
Click Filter.
Go down to Sharpen.
Click Sharpen Edges.

Use my tag as a guide for placement of elements.
I used these elements:
Resize both these layers to 50%

Open your regular sized tube.
Place to your liking.

Open element 50.
Center on canvas.

Open your Close Up tube.
After placing as you like,
Grab a soft edged eraser.
Erase the part of your CU tube
that covers your regular sized tube.

With the CU tube layer still highlighted,
Go to the upper left corner of your Layer Palette.
Click the down arrow next to the word Normal.
In the drop down menu,
Click Luminosity.
In the upper right corner of your Layer Palette,
Set the Opacity set at 65%.

Highlight the frame layer (50).
Erase the portion of the frame
that shows through the top of her hair.

Now highlight your G01 mask layer.
Erase any portion of this layer
that shows through your CU tubes face or hair.

Highlight the Close Up tube layer again.
Duplicate this layer.
Go back to the down arrow in the upper left corner,
Click Screen.
Opacity: 100%

Continue with these elements:
19, resize to 75%
8, resize to 20%
70, resize to 20%
Duplicate this layer.
36, resize to 50%
Move duplicated 70 layer on top of layer 36.
Erase the portion of 70 that overlaps the bow.
1, resize to 35%
Duplicate and resize new layer to 75%
22, resize to 20
Flip this layer Horizontally.

Resize your taggie to your liking.

Make a new layer.
Type your name.
I used Black.
Next I used a style from the scrap kit.
Go up to your Style box.
It's in the upper right corner next to your work space.
You'll see a little down arrow.
Click that.
Now you'll see a new menu window.
Look for Load Styles.
Click that.
Now another new window pops up.
Find the folder called:
bsd_Glamorized and Glittered Glitter
Open that.
Highlight the file marked asl.
Hit Load.
New styles will now show in your style box.
I used the dark red one called G06.
Click the glitter style of your choice.

I also used these effects on the name:
Stroke: Outside, 2, color fb9fd7.
Bevel & Emboss

Drop Shadow

Outer Glow (color ffffbe)

You must now do this:
Put the artist's name, website, and your license number
of the tube you used on the siggy!!
Add your name (ie: Designed by Your Name) behind this info.
Make sure this info is legible and clearly seen.

Save as PSD to maintain layers.
Then save as PNG.

I hope you had fun with this tut!

♥Tribute to Rieka♥

To honor Rieka and all she has blessed me with, I will be leaving all my tuts that I have written with her kits on my blog. They are not coming down. Even though her kits are no longer available, the tuts I wrote using them are my tribute to her. Hopefully, they will inspire you the way Rieka inspired me. Love You, Rieka! You'll be forever in my heart.♥

About Me

My Photo
Hi Ya'll! I'm Savage and I'd like to welcome you to Redneck Tuts. These are not your ordinary tuts, as they are geared toward those of us that don't have "working knowledge" of Photoshop or PSP. My tuts are all done in PS. They are designed to show you different techniques that you may not know. I hope you learn something that you can use in your creations in the future. Please, just have fun and put your own spin on these tuts. Be original and shine! Love Ya! ♥
