SUPPLIES NEEDED
TUBE OF CHOICE: I used a tube by Keith Garvey.
This tube is called Ivory.
There are three different sizes of this tube.
I used both Close Up sizes.
You must have a license to use this art.
You can find this art and get your license HERE.
SCRAPKIT: Sweet my Valentine by Edelweiss Design.
You can find it HERE.
MASK: Mask17 by Savage SWAK.
You can snag it HERE.
FONT OF CHOICE: I used Bickham Script Fancy Two.
I used Photoshop for this tut.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
In this tut we're going to make a quick tag using
a Cluster Frame and a mask as an overlay.
Open a canvas 800x800 pixels.
Transparent background.
Open papier08.
Center on canvas.
Open Cluster 03.
Center this on canvas.
Highlight papier08 layer.
Grab a soft edged eraser.
Erase the paper around the Cluster.
When you're done erasing,
the only paper that should be showing
will be inside the heart frames.
Now we'll work with the tubes.
Depending on the tube you use,
you may have different sizes.
With this tube, I used the two Close Ups.
Open the largest Close Up tube.
Place this under the Cluster frame in the Layer Palette.
Flip it Horizontally.
Duplicate this layer.
Position one layer inside the left heart frame.
Place the second tube layer inside the circle
next to the violin.
Use my tag as a guide.
Highlight the tube layer inside the heart.
Go to the top of the Layer Palette.
You will see a box with the word Normal.
Click the down arrow.
Scroll down and click Soft Light.
Now highlight the tube inside the circle.
In the upper right corner of the Layer Palette,
you will see Opacity.
Type 65 in the box.
Hit Enter on your keyboard.
Now open your mask.
Place the wordart layer of the mask
on top of your tube layers.
I rotated the mask a bit so the words slanted.
I put a Color Overlay on the mask.
I used this color:
9b0c18
Erase all parts of the mask
that go outside the heart frame.
This is now where I used a different size of the same tube.
Open your tube.
Place this on top of the mask in the Layer Palette
and under the Cluster Frame.
Position it to your liking inside the smaller heart frame.
Place a drop shadow on all your layers
except your paper and mask layers.
Resize the siggy to your liking.
Make a new layer.
Type your name on the taggie.
I used color 730b0d.
Now place a Stroke:
Stroke, Outside, 2, color White
I also used:
Bevel & Emboss
Then I added an Outer Glow
And a Drop Shadow
MOST IMPORTANT!!
You must now do this:
Put the artist's name, website, and your license number
of the tube you used on the siggy!!
Add your name (ie: Designed by Your Name) behind this info.
Make sure this info is legible and clearly seen.
Save as PNG.
YOU'RE DONE!!
(If you want to maintain your layers
Always Save as PSD first.
Then you can save it as a PNG.
I hope you had fun with this tut
and that you can use the different techniques
in other taggies you create!
HUGS!

♥Tribute to Rieka♥
To honor Rieka and all she has blessed me with, I will be leaving all my tuts that I have written with her kits on my blog. They are not coming down. Even though her kits are no longer available, the tuts I wrote using them are my tribute to her. Hopefully, they will inspire you the way Rieka inspired me. Love You, Rieka! You'll be forever in my heart.♥
About Me
- Savage
- Hi Ya'll! I'm Savage and I'd like to welcome you to Redneck Tuts. These are not your ordinary tuts, as they are geared toward those of us that don't have "working knowledge" of Photoshop or PSP. My tuts are all done in PS. They are designed to show you different techniques that you may not know. I hope you learn something that you can use in your creations in the future. Please, just have fun and put your own spin on these tuts. Be original and shine! Love Ya! ♥
